Agricultural Engineering
Qualifies graduates as mechanization engineers — irrigation network maintenance and design, agricultural equipment supervision and procurement. Subjects: agricultural engineering sciences, infrastructure planning, irrigation systems engineering, agricultural product manufacturing, agricultural technology.
Biotechnology
One of the most popular and competitive departments — taught in English, requires personal interview. Career fields: Health sector (medical labs, pharmaceutical companies, tissue culturing); Agricultural sector (soil and water analysis labs, animal production, biological pest control). Subjects: enzyme and metabolic chemistry, food component chemical analysis, molecular biology and immunology chemistry, proteins and nucleic acid chemistry.
International Agriculture
3 sub-specializations: Rural community development, Organic farming, Agricultural business management. Career fields: agricultural extension and GIS systems.
Food Industries
Food sciences, food manufacturing, food development, material analysis, food factory establishment and management. Highest-paying department. Subjects: food manufacturing engineering, grain chemistry and technology, food chemistry and analysis, food preservation technology, food management and marketing.
Plant Production
Plant diseases, horticulture, plant biology, biostatistics. Career fields: agricultural engineering in farms and nurseries, seed production companies, quality control in plant production factories.
Animal Production
Animal production sciences, animal physiology, fish production. Career fields: feed factories for poultry and livestock, fish farms, cattle and poultry farms.
Plant Protection
Plant diseases, agricultural pests, entomology, post-harvest pests, biological control. Career fields: pesticide analysis and formulation, pest control in animal production companies, pesticide and fertilizer company management.
Agricultural Land and Water
Soil and water sciences, water resources, irrigation and drainage. Career fields: land reclamation, agricultural waste recycling, irrigation water analysis, fertilizer production.
Economic and Social Sciences
Rural community, agricultural project management. Career fields: agricultural extension worker, marketing and management in agricultural companies.
