The French University in Egypt was established in 2002 in Shorouk City, 37 km from central Cairo, as a non-profit university under the direct supervision of the French Ministry of Higher Education. Its degrees are accredited by the French state and recognised internationally — especially across the European community.
It holds partnerships with prestigious French universities including Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Université Nouvelle, University of Nantes, Haute Alsace, and INSA Strasbourg. Language of instruction: primarily French with English and Arabic. Comprises 3 faculties and allows students to spend a semester in France. The International Relations Master's is offered in collaboration with Science Po Grenoble — fully online with a dual Egyptian-French degree.

Admission Requirements for International Students
- Non-Egyptian nationality with a valid passport
- Embassy approval from the student's home country
- For undergraduate: High school diploma or equivalent
- For Master's: Bachelor's with minimum Pass grade from an internationally accredited university + TOEFL or IELTS
- For PhD: Master's from an accredited university
- Submit all official documents from May to December
