Zagazig University is the seventh oldest Egyptian university, established in 1970 as a branch of Ain Shams University in Sharqia Governorate, before gaining independence under its current name. It expanded from six initial faculties to 19 faculties and specialised institutes that all welcome international students.

Postgraduate Studies & Fees for International Students
Zagazig University accepts international postgraduate students across all its faculties and institutes. One-time registration fee: $1,500 USD. Annual postgraduate tuition:
- $6,000/year — Medicine and Dentistry
- $5,500/year — Computer Science, Engineering, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy
- $5,000/year — Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine, Science, Nursing
- $4,500/year — All other faculties and institutes
Admission Requirements & Documents
Undergraduate
- Non-Egyptian nationality with a valid passport
- High school diploma meeting the faculty's minimum admission grade
- Pass the aptitude test for faculties that require it
Required documents: Official embassy letter — original high school certificate + 2 copies — original birth certificate + 2 copies — valid passport copy — aptitude test result (where required)
Postgraduate
- For Master's: Bachelor's degree in the required field with minimum Pass grade from a recognised university
- For PhD: Master's degree from an internationally recognised university
- Students may carry supplementary courses as permitted by the Supreme Council of Universities
Required documents: 4 copies of information form — certified academic transcript — 3 copies of data form with full student details — official embassy letter with approval, funding source, target degree and academic year — valid passport copy
